Transport assistance is a vital support for NDIS participants, helping them stay connected with their community and engage in activities they enjoy. For some individuals, transport assistance is essential for accessing critical services, such as healthcare appointments.

Transport Assistance is available for individuals who cannot comfortably or effectively use public transport due to a severe and/or permanent disability.

Travel training is a program designed to help NDIS participants acquire the skills necessary for independent use of public transport. It includes topics such as journey planning, reading timetables and maps, and purchasing tickets. Travel training can be delivered one-on-one or in small groups, typically over several sessions, and is flexible to meet the individual needs of each participant.
